The Tinker's Folly

In this cozy, atmospheric book, Andrew, a local tinker, is trying and failing to learn the intuition of his grandmother and finish his tinker shop in preparation for his and Feyloren's big day when three powerful witches come to town, burn down his shop, and try to kill him.

To protect his family, he speaks a powerful curse that captures the women and locks his family and the entire town in a sleep without waking. It also unleashes The Raven King-the trickster god of death and dreaming-who wants Andrew to serve him.

Andrew now has to rely on friends, old and new, to help him find a way to lift the curse before The Raven King learns that Andrew is deceiving him. Though Andrew has always seen himself as a worthless outsider, now he must choose to believe the words of a god: "You are enough," in order to defeat The Raven King and save his family.

Cozy Pairings

Each pairing is chosen to create a cozy moment where scent, story, and craft come together.
Langston

Langston is a warm and expressive fragrance that opens with spiced notes of nutmeg and clove, softened by the richness of worn leather. At its heart, delicate jasmine and smoky cade add depth and complexity, creating a balance between softness and warmth. The scent settles into a smooth base of vanilla, sandalwood, and amber, bringing a gentle sweetness and a lasting warmth. Layered and inviting, this fragrance feels both comforting and full of character, with a richness that lingers beautifully in the air.

Why we chose this: Andrew is a young tinker sitting by the hearth of a cozy village in the middle of a Festival of Lights, about to step into a story full of tree horses, Night Watchmen, witches, and dangerous wishes. Langston carries the warm, leather-and-spice richness of exactly the kind of evening this story calls for, the scent of a well-packed pipe and a good tale told slowly by firelight. It is the candle for every book in this series. Light this candle before you settle in with Andrew and Lorna, and let the warmth of nutmeg and clove and sandalwood fill the room like a hearth that has been lit in welcome and shows no signs of going out.
