They also have the best of guides: Syl, a cloven-hooved, goat-headed healer, protector, and mediator, who knows the people and the land. And more importantly, he knows the dangers and the centuries of bad blood that lie between them and their destination.
Because forces―both human and far from it―that prefer war to peace are aligning against Wil, including rival wizards, murderous wampus cats, mischievous wee folk, avenging royalty, and other beasties on the prowl. But nobody and no thing is going to keep him from finally setting things right . . .
