Midnight bloom mug
Midnight bloom mug
Cozy vibes: This mug has the feeling of a night that finally slowed down. The cobalt blue against the white clay is rich and quiet at the same time, the color of ink and old tiles and flowers that bloom when no one is watching. Fill it with something warm and let the evening go unhurried. The blooms will keep you company.
The silhouette is round and generous, with a softly uneven rim that rises and dips where the clay made its own decisions. Deep cobalt tulips bloom across the surface in bold, confident strokes, each one full-petaled and slightly different from the last. Sweeping leaves arc between the blooms, and fine white lines carved through the blue reveal the clay beneath, giving every element a layered quality that catches the light differently depending on where you hold it. The detailing has the feeling of old folk painting, deliberate and a little wild at once, the kind of pattern that rewards a closer look. The handle is just enough to hold, painted in the same deep cobalt as the tulips. Every tulip was painted by hand. No two are exactly alike. Designed to hold ~230 ml (8 oz) comfortably.

About the artist: This piece was made by Maryam, a ceramic artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Originally from Iran, Maryam has lived in Georgia for nearly a decade and discovered ceramics after touching clay for the first time. What began as an immediate love quickly became a life’s work.
Only a few months after she began working with clay, Maryam started teaching ceramics herself. Since then, she has taught more than 150 students in English, Georgian, and Persian, sharing not only technique but also the simple pleasure of making something by hand. Her love of teaching is woven into her studio practice, from ceramic classes to tutorials, and it is clear that she sees clay as something meant to be shared.
Over time, Maryam has become a well-known ceramic artist in Georgia, with her work featured on Georgian television and in local media. Each piece she creates carries her bright, generous spirit. Expressive florals, fruits, leaves, bold handles, playful forms, and hand-painted details that makes every mug feel alive. Her designs feel both whimsical and practical, made for daily rituals but full of personality. Each of Maryam's pieces are made with love and care from her home studio in Tbilisi.
