Holly berry mug
Holly berry mug
Cozy vibes: This mug has the feeling of being inside while it rains. Of a blanket pulled up, a book open, something warm steeping on the counter. The green and red together carry a quiet holiday energy without announcing it, more like the memory of December than December itself. Light a candle, fill this mug, and let the afternoon disappear. It will hold the moment for you.
Deep forest green botanical sprays are painted across the surface in full, confident strokes, each branch carrying oval leaves that overlap and layer the way real foliage does. Tiny red berries are scattered throughout, dotted in clusters between the leaves with precision that feels unhurried. A band of the same deep green glazes the base and the handle, grounding the whole piece and giving it a settled, finished quality. The rim dips softly where the clay shaped itself, and the looped handle is glazed entirely in the forest green, smooth and glossy against the white of the body. Every branch was painted by hand, and the result is something that feels both festive and timeless, a pattern that belongs to no single season. Designed to hold ~230 ml (8 oz) comfortably.
Each of our handmade ceramics are made by independent artists in small batches.
Handmade ceramics carry the marks of their making. Variations in color, texture, and form reflect the artist’s process. Each piece is shaped by hand, just once, and in its own way, making it uniquely yours.
About the artist: This piece was made by Maryam, a ceramic artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Originally from Iran, Maryam has lived in Georgia for nearly a decade and discovered ceramics after touching clay for the first time. What began as an immediate love quickly became a life’s work.
Only a few months after she began working with clay, Maryam started teaching ceramics herself. Since then, she has taught more than 150 students in English, Georgian, and Persian, sharing not only technique but also the simple pleasure of making something by hand. Her love of teaching is woven into her studio practice, from ceramic classes to tutorials, and it is clear that she sees clay as something meant to be shared.
Over time, Maryam has become a well-known ceramic artist in Georgia, with her work featured on Georgian television and in local media. Each piece she creates carries her bright, generous spirit. Expressive florals, fruits, leaves, bold handles, playful forms, and hand-painted details that makes every mug feel alive. Her designs feel both whimsical and practical, made for daily rituals but full of personality. Each of Maryam's pieces are made with love and care from her home studio in Tbilisi.
