Hexes and Honey Buns
The pen is mightier than the sword—but what’s a witch to do when she has writer’s block?
After landing my first official journalist job I thought the ideas would be spilling out faster than I could type. But it turns out life in the shadow of my debut piece is a little … make that a lot, harder than I expected.
So, when a convicted murderer reaches out begging for help in proving her innocence, I jump at the chance to dig into another investigation.
The only problem? This trail is ice cold.
I don’t want to give up on a good story, or let down a witch desperate for my help, but I’m not sure where to turn and I’m running out of time.
Will my last ditch effort pan out, or will I be forced to give my editor a blank page?

Cozy Pairings

Brown Sugar Cinnamon is a warm, bakery-inspired fragrance that wraps you in the comforting sweetness of brown sugar and melted butter, gently spiced with cinnamon. Rich and inviting, this scent evokes the feeling of something freshly baked lingering in the air, soft and golden with just a touch of indulgence. Smooth and well balanced, it brings a sense of warmth and familiarity to any space, creating a cozy atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and comforting.
Why we chose this: Rosella Midnight is back in Winterspell, frosting cupcakes at her parents' famous Sugar Shack bakery and trying very hard not to get pulled into another investigation, which she keeps failing to avoid. Brown Sugar Cinnamon is the candle for every book in this series, warm and golden and alive with the smell of something freshly baked in a magical bakery where the macaroons are enchanted and the mysteries are always sweeter than expected. Light this candle and let the sweetness of brown sugar and butter fill the room like a small-town bakery on a morning when the cupcakes are perfect and someone has definitely just found a body.
