Cornflower lemon mug

Cozy vibes: This mug has the energy of a good morning, where the light comes in bright and something about the day already feels promising. The blue and yellow together are endlessly optimistic, the color combination of clear skies and ripe fruit, of somewhere sunny and unhurried. Fill it with your morning coffee and set it somewhere the light can find it.

Bright yellow lemons are painted across the surface, each one accompanied by bold blue leaves and delicate berry-like clusters that give the botanical detail an almost folk art quality. A hand-painted blue check pattern rings the interior rim like it's waiting to be discovered. The handle is painted entirely in a vivid, speckled cornflower blue that matches the painted leaves and ties the whole piece together. Every element of this mug was painted by hand, and the result is something that feels simultaneously cheerful and considered. Designed to hold ~230 ml (8 oz) comfortably.

Each of our handmade ceramics are made by independent artists in small batches.‍

Handmade ceramics carry the marks of their making. Variations in color, texture, and form reflect the artist’s process. Each piece is shaped by hand, just once, and in its own way, making it uniquely yours.

About the artist: This piece was made by Maryam, a ceramic artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Originally from Iran, Maryam has lived in Georgia for nearly a decade and discovered ceramics after touching clay for the first time. What began as an immediate love quickly became a life’s work.

Only a few months after she began working with clay, Maryam started teaching ceramics herself. Since then, she has taught more than 150 students in English, Georgian, and Persian, sharing not only technique but also the simple pleasure of making something by hand. Her love of teaching is woven into her studio practice, from ceramic classes to tutorials, and it is clear that she sees clay as something meant to be shared.

Over time, Maryam has become a well-known ceramic artist in Georgia, with her work featured on Georgian television and in local media. Each piece she creates carries her bright, generous spirit. Expressive florals, fruits, leaves, bold handles, playful forms, and hand-painted details that makes every mug feel alive. Her designs feel both whimsical and practical, made for daily rituals but full of personality. Each of Maryam's pieces are made with love and care from her home studio in Tbilisi.
