Blackberry mug
Blackberry mug
Cozy vibes: This is the mug for cozy evenings to be remembered. A fire crackling nearby and the comfort of wrapping your hands around a mug that feels full of character and life. The blackberries, the speckled glaze, the twisted handle, together they create something that sits at the edge of wild and considered, like a bramble that decided to become a piece of art. There is nothing else quite like it.
White stoneware with a wide, perfectly imperfect form, hand-shaped with a freedom that you can feel in every curve and hollow. Scattered across the surface, plump blackberries are painted in deep purple and burgundy, each one rendered with a loose, almost impressionistic brushwork that makes them look genuinely lush, paired with small green leaf clusters that anchor them to the clay. Fine purple speckles dust the entire surface, inside and out, like something caught mid-bloom, adding a depth and richness to the white ground that photographs cannot fully capture. You have to hold this mug to understand it. The handle is unlike anything else in the collection, a thick, hand-twisted rope of clay, glazed white and speckled to match, that feels extraordinary between your fingers and looks even better. Designed to hold ~230 ml (8 oz) comfortably.

About the artist: This piece was made by Maryam, a ceramic artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Originally from Iran, Maryam has lived in Georgia for nearly a decade and discovered ceramics after touching clay for the first time. What began as an immediate love quickly became a life’s work.
Only a few months after she began working with clay, Maryam started teaching ceramics herself. Since then, she has taught more than 150 students in English, Georgian, and Persian, sharing not only technique but also the simple pleasure of making something by hand. Her love of teaching is woven into her studio practice, from ceramic classes to tutorials, and it is clear that she sees clay as something meant to be shared.
Over time, Maryam has become a well-known ceramic artist in Georgia, with her work featured on Georgian television and in local media. Each piece she creates carries her bright, generous spirit. Expressive florals, fruits, leaves, bold handles, playful forms, and hand-painted details that makes every mug feel alive. Her designs feel both whimsical and practical, made for daily rituals but full of personality. Each of Maryam's pieces are made with love and care from her home studio in Tbilisi.
