Alchemy and a Cup of Tea
On the night of her kidnapping, all Reyna wanted was a relaxing cup of tea. She didn’t expect to be dropped in a hidden prison cell, but what the hells. She’s flexible.
With appropriate fanfare, Kianthe “rescues” her wife...but Reyna’s actually a terrible damsel in distress. Even worse, Reyna's cell was booby trapped with a mysterious alchemy circle. What does a radical alchemist want with the Arcandor’s wife? And why did they think they could get away with this?
While they investigate, another problem surfaces in their hometown. Word of New Leaf Tomes and Tea—and its celebrity owners—has finally spread. Tourists are everywhere, harassing the locals and ruining the charm of Tawney. As their friends struggle with the sudden influx, Kianthe and Reyna have to face a bigger conundrum than rogue alchemists: the fact that closing their bookshop might be the only way to save their town.
Things can’t just be simple, can they?

Cozy Pairings

Langston is a warm and expressive fragrance that opens with spiced notes of nutmeg and clove, softened by the richness of worn leather. At its heart, delicate jasmine and smoky cade add depth and complexity, creating a balance between softness and warmth. The scent settles into a smooth base of vanilla, sandalwood, and amber, bringing a gentle sweetness and a lasting warmth. Layered and inviting, this fragrance feels both comforting and full of character, with a richness that lingers beautifully in the air.
Why we chose this: Reyna just wanted a cup of tea, and instead found herself in a hidden prison cell with a mysterious alchemy circle on the floor. Langston is the candle for this kind of story, layered and thoughtful, warm with nutmeg and clove and the quiet depth of sandalwood, the scent of something complex unfolding at a comfortable pace. Light this candle as Reyna and Kianthe untangle the mystery of the rogue alchemist and the town full of tourists, and let the richness of leather and vanilla fill the room like an evening that started simply and became something much more interesting.
